Oh Buggy. We thought we were past all this?
Jake Bugg really has a bee in his (oh-so-cool and indie) bonnet about those One Direction boys, doesn't he? Despite claiming just a few weeks ago that his previous jibes 'weren't personal', he's now gone and had another go at the boyband - this time calling their songs 'meaningless'.
OH BUGGY. PLAY NICE FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.

In a new interview with the Daily Record, Jake proved that he's mastered the art of the back-handed compliment - by once again saying he's got nothing against One Direction 'as individuals', before promptly slating them anyway.
'I get female attention, but not on the scale [One Direction] do,' he began. 'I wouldn't want to. There are always going to be boybands around. In a few years there'll be a new one and then another one after that. People love the controversy of social media but what I said was nothing personal against One Direction.'
He continued: 'I could have gone for any of those bands like Union J or whatever their names are. I write songs and they don't. I don't hold anything against them as individuals or as people because I've never met them.

'I'm sure they're probably nice guys. I'm just not necessarily a fan of what they do. I have an opinion and, if you don't like it, don't listen to what I say.
'I write my songs and I go do my gigs. They can sing as many meaningless tunes as they want and probably make quite a bit of money from it. But that's not the way I go about things.'
Ouch. You want to be careful Buggy - now you've dragged Union J into this whole thang, you could have an entire boyband army after you in no time. Write your way out of that one, sunshine.
What do you make of Jake's slagging session numero 3546448? Think he's got a point or reckon he should sod off and shut up?
