The Diamonds star is believed to have been involved with the rapper in between her romances with the Fine China star linked to him on several occasions in 2010 and 11, with the two men reportedly locked in a fued over the singer.
Their rivalry for the Bajan beauty's affections was allegedly the reason their entourages got into a fight at New York nightclub W.i.P last Summer, according to reports. According to a new report following RiRi's most recent split with Brown, she's gone back to Drake again.
'When she was dating Chris, he banned her from talking to Drake,' a source told Look magazine. 'She really missed him in that time - yes, they went out years before but he was also a good friend to her - so calling him was one of the first things she did when she realised she was over Chris.'
A close pal of Drake's claimed the Canadian 'knew,' Rihanna would come back to him after her romance with Brown ended.
'[Drake's been] waiting patiently on the sidelines. Just over a month ago, Drake gave Rihanna an ultimatum. He told her he needed to move on if she wasn't going to commit,' the insider explained.
'His love life was paused when Chris and Rihanna reunited, and Drake claims it caused him stress headaches, writer's block and anxiety. He was obviously sick of it, but Rihanna wasn't ready for him. Now Chris and Rihanna are done for good, Drake might finally get his chance.'
Rihanna and Brown were rumoured to be hooking up for nearly a year before they finally confirmed they were an item, though their relationship only lasted half that long with the Don't Wake Me Up babe announcing he was single once again in May, just five months after they took the romance public.
Following the break down of their rekindled love, insiders claim the 25 year-old has finally got over Chris and is even starting to believe it's Drake who is the one for her.

In a recent interview Drake shared his thoughts on Chris and Rihanna's reunion and admitted he could see it 'ending badly'.
'If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly,' he told GQ Magazine, 'Like, it gets really dark.'
He also appeared to confirm the fight was over Rihanna, saying: 'It's embarrassing, the amount of media coverage...Two rappers fighting over the woman. He's not even a rapper, but still, it's the last way you want your name out there. It distracts from the music. But he's made me the enemy, and that's the way it's gonna stay, I guess.'
