Selena Gomez (Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic) Selena Gomez is apparently selective about who she will discuss Justin Bieber with.
While doing a satellite media tour Monday ― her 21st birthday ― to promote her upcoming Stars Dance Tour, Gomez was probed about her off-again/on-again boyfriend Justin Bieber's recent bad boy behavior, and apparently it wasn't a topic she felt like discussing as the interview abruptly came to a shrieking halt.
WGN-TV entertainment critic Dean Richards was among the outlets talking to Gomez during her media blitz. "You're, you know, probably as close a friend to Justin Bieber as they come," he said. "Is there something about him that we don't get or we don't understand? I mean, there is one story after another of, you know, pretty outrageous behavior that we're reading about."
At first the "Come & Get It" singer looked down uncomfortably ― almost as if she were wishing away the awkward situation ― then she smiled to someone off camera. Despite her obvious hesitation, Richards pressed on, following with, "What don't we get about him or what is it that he's not getting out there?"
But before giving any insight into life with Bieber ― which Gomez opened up about the night before during her interview with Ryan Seacrest (she claims she's single despite their recent Instagrams) ― the feed was suddenly terminated and the "Spring Breakers" star's pretty pout disappeared from the screen. Richards then sort of chuckled to himself as he realized that had been disconnected.
A rep for Gomez has not yet responded to omg!'s request for comment so it's unclear if she was disconnected on purpose or if it was some type of glitch, which is known to happen during satellite tours. The timing seems to indicate it was no accident.
Meanwhile, an old interview with Bieber has surfaced that should give fans of the couple some hope of another reconciliation. During a 2009 sit-down with KIIS-FM ― before he started dating Gomez (and back when he wore shirts!) ― the 19-year-old Canadian singer was asked to name his celebrity crush.
"Selena Gomez," he quickly replied, before adding, "No one heard that. Keep that on the DL."
Their relationship was a long time in the making apparently and we suspect there will be many more chapters ... whether Gomez wants to discuss them or not.
Selena is known for being a good girl, but she's had her share of bad-girl moments. Take a look:

5. Partying in "Spring Breakers"The former "Wizards of Waverly Place" cutie shocked fans when she revealed she planned to co-star as one of the bikini-clad co-eds in the racy movie "Spring Breakers," directed by controversial director Harmony Korine. In fact, Gomez advised her younger fans not to see the flick, full of drugs, alcohol, violence, and sex. Korine later explained that he couldn't even include some of the more explicit scenes in order to keep the 2013 film's R rating. "In the party scenes a lot of things got really graphic," he said on the DVD of the movie. "There were things I couldn't even show in the film that were probably crazy for [the actresses] to see." Meanwhile, the singer was photographed enjoying Miami during downtime from shooting, along with her on-again/off-again beau Justin Bieber, co-star Ashley Benson, and Benson's former boyfriend Ryan Good. less
