Sir Elton John, Arctic Monkeys and recent number one Robin Thicke will make up a cross-generational London iTunes festival in September after being confirmed for the event.
Sir Elton, 66, says he believes the festival has a younger following than his normal audience, saying: 'I think it's great that Apple makes these concerts accessible to everyone. For me, it's a real thrill to play for young audiences - they've got so much energy and they all seem to know my songs!'
The singer will debut his first album for seven years at the festival, which takes place at London's historic Roundhouse venue - where he has played some 'memorable gigs' in the past.

The Rocket Man singer and indie group Arctic Monkeys will join further acts on the line-up including Robin Thicke, Tom Odell, John Legend, Pixies, The Olms and No Ceremony.
Thicke - who recently scored a number one single in the UK with Blurred Lines - will support John Legend on September 28.
He said: 'I'm so excited to be taking part in the iTunes Festival this year. Once again iTunes has gathered some incredible talent and I am honoured to be included.'

The names have been added to a huge list which includes Justin Timberlake, Kings Of Leon, Sigur Rós, Paramore, Vampire Weekend, Queens Of The Stone Age, Phoenix, Jake Bugg, Primal Scream and Thirty Seconds To Mars.
Alternative rock legends Pixies were also pleased to be added to the line-up.
They said: 'We're excited to back on tour in Europe and performing at the iTunes Festival in London.'

UK fans can win tickets using the iTunes Festival app and the iTunes Store as well as select media partners.
The first iTunes Festival was held in 2007 and previous line ups have seen performances from artists including Sir Paul McCartney, Amy Winehouse, Doves and Crowded House.
