Justin Timberlake will not face legal action from an anti-rape charity who accused him of stealing their name for his single Take Back the Night.
The Take Back The Night foundation had previously hinted that it might sue the singer over the sexy track, which is the fourth single to be taken from his album The 20/20 Experience.
However the charity's executive director Katie Koestner has now said that they will not be pursuing the case.
'At this point, we're going to bow out gracefully, and accept that fighting this in court probably isn't the best use of anyone's time,' she told the website Buzzfeed. It's best to focus on the mission, and his stated support is important to us.
'Mostly, it was shocking that an institution that goes back to 1973 went unnoticed by the likes of Justin Timberlake... It shows how much visibility we really need.'
The singer had previously issued a statement in which he attempted to apologise to the foundation, claiming he had previously been unaware of their existence.

'Upon the release of my new single Take Back The Night, I was made aware of an organisation of the same name called The Take Back The Night Foundation,' he said.
I wanted to take this opportunity to let all know that neither my song nor its lyrics have any association with the organisation.'
However Koestner remained unmoved even though Timberlake promised to raise 'more awareness to this cause' and name his next single The Samaritans.
'They claimed he'd never heard of us before he wrote that song. I don't know what country he's been in... It's a big song, and he didn't take the necessary steps to make sure that it was appropriate.'
She also lambasted the song's lyrics for being 'very sexual' and 'not at all clearly anti-sexual violence'.
