One Direction fans are looking forward to the boys' new single Best Song Ever and ahead of the release EntertainmentWise caught up with top singer/songwriter Ed Drewett to talk about the inspiration behind the track, which he penned for the band.
Ed was hanging out at Wireless Festival yesterday and Entwise's Georgie managed to catch up with the talented songwriter to talk about his high profile new tune.
Having written chart-toppers for The Wanted and Olly Murs in the past, Ed has now penned 1D's much buzzed about new track Best Song Ever.
Ed told us that he's pleading with punters to buy a copy when it's released in July, because "regardless of whether you like One Direction or not, I've got to put food on the table!"
We're pretty sure the tune will be a hit Ed!

The songwriter went on to spill the story behing the track, telling us:
"The chorus is pretty much about a night that they and their girl shared together, they got tipsy and forgot what the best song ever was, but they remembered the words that night, but forgot it by the morning."
Sound confusing? Don't worry Ed promises it will all make sense when the single is released on July 22! In the meantime check out our chat with Ed in the video above.
