By 6.30pm on Saturday, Police Scotland said there had been 36 arrests.

They said it was "mostly for petty crimes and minor drugs offences."

More than 650 people have been treated at the onsite medical tent, many suffering the effects of the hot weather, hay fever and becoming dehydrated.

On the main stage, Rihanna's 90 minute appearance mixed well known singles such as Rude Boy and What's My Name? with album tracks such as Birthday Cake.

She punctuated her set with several breaks, giving time for her troupe of dancers to change costumes.

The Barbadian singer ended her performance with recent single Stay and Diamonds, accompanied with fireworks.

Saturday's line-up was peppered with several Scottish acts including Twin Atlantic, Deacon Blue, The View and The Fratellis.

Frightened Rabbit, from Selkirk, played what they told Newsbeat was their "biggest show to date" on the Radio 1 stage.

Lead singer Scott Hutchinson said: "T (In The Park) has just grown and grown and it's amazing to see a festival in Scotland become such an international event."

Saturday also saw sets from Ke$ha, Paloma Faith, Miles Kane, Palma Violets and Dizzee Rascal.

With temperatures in Kinross forecast to reach at least 21 degrees Celsius on Sunday, organisers have once again advised festival-goers to be prepared with things like sunscreen and bottles of water.
